Geico Borrowed Casio's Logo

Recently noticed a slight similarity in these two companies logos (huge adjacent billboards at shea). Geico, Casio, and that beautiful “phthalo blue” pigment were all founded (and branded) between 1936 and 1946. Graphic Design trends?

The only false step was with the teetering, multi-coloured python-skin shoes, which caused two models to trip and the rest to hobble and wobble their way around a catwalk which snaked past a series of circular wooden bleachers where the audience perched.Milan Fashion Week Spring 2009 is providing us with some more interesting shoes.
